A rare summer cool front will approach Southeast Texas late Friday afternoon. The front will serve as a focus for showers and thunderstorms, mainly north of a Brenham to Livingston line.
A weak boundary will approach Southeast Texas late Friday. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop late in the day or Friday evening over the extreme northern part of Southeast Texas. The line of storms will push slowly south Friday night and gradually weaken. SPC has placed parts of SE TX in a Marginal Risk for severe storms for late Friday and Friday night. The primary severe weather hazard will be damaging winds and small hail.
