SHAWNDAVISOn Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 9:40am the Cleveland Police Department was contacted in regards to a verbal disturbance occurring at the 100 block of East Houston (corner of Houston and N. Travis).

Officer Justin Edwards and Officer Michael Holbert arrived on scene to observe a male they knew as Shawn Davis (age 24) of Cleveland from previous encounters’, arguing with a family member over a debit card.

While Officers spoke with both parties, Davis began yelling profanity at the Officers who were attempting to resolve the situation. Davis was standing on a public sidewalk and was yelling curse words as bystanders observed his actions.

Davis failed to comply with Officers and began actively resisting the Officers, which developed into a struggle. Officers were able to place Davis onto the ground as back-up Officers responded to the scene to assist the struggling Officers.

With the assistance of back-up Officers, Davis was placed into handcuffs and transported to the Cleveland Police Department where he was booked in for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.
