Suspect Arrested After Standoff

On May 18, 2017,  Harris County Precinct 4, Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 24500 block of Stratton Creek Drive in North Harris County in reference to a disturbance call.  Responding deputies were advised that Demetrius Quesada had assaulted a family member and taken several pills in an attempt to harm himself.

Quesada was discovered to be in possession of a rifle, and Constable Deputies quickly removed the family member from the residence and begin speaking met them with Quesada from outside of the residence.

After nearly an hour long negotiation Quesada put his gun down, walked toward the front door and was taken into custody without further incident.
