SUSPECTS CAPTURED AFTER CELL TOWER THEFT

On Monday, February 10, 2014, at approximately 5:40 PM, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 27000 block of Hardin Store Road, in reference to a suspicious vehicle call. A reportee advised that he witnessed three males removing wiring from a cell tower at the location.

While Deputies were in route to the location, they witnessed the vehicle described in the call notes leaving the area, pulling a trailer loaded with wire. Deputies stopped the vehicle and made contact with the occupants.

It was discovered that forced entry was made at the tower. It was reported that it would cost approximately $25,000 to repair the cell tower. After an investigation, the three males were arrested and charged with felony criminal mischief.
