On Wednesday, April 20, 2016, between the hours of 5pm and 10pm, several residents in the area reported being contacted at their homes by 2 black females and 1 white female who claimed to be selling vacuum cleaners to raise money for school. At one point, a resident attempted to follow them to gain a license plate number and the females ran from the resident at a high rate of speed through the high water on Shell Oil Road. The resident lost sight of the suspect vehicle.
This is the second time in the last few weeks these persons have been reported in San Jacinto County. Each sales pitch reveals a different reason for raising the money, and in most cases, they want $25.00 to show the resident the product.
Anyone who comes into contact with these persons should contact the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office at 936-653-4367 right away. If you do not live in San Jacinto County, contact your own local law enforcement right away. No charges are currently pending on these persons, however, their suspicious activity and actions merit a closer look by law enforcement. Do not attempt to detain or otherwise subdue these persons yourself. Call law enforcement.
The suspect vehicle is described as a bright blue SUV, possibly a Toyota.
