Teen critical after crashing Porsche

By Dalton Lee-Gregory, Asst. Chief, Tarkington Volunteer Fire Department
Shortly after 6 PM on Thursday, Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle accident on FM2518 near CR2222. A blue Porsche had left the roadway and struck a tree, pinning the driver in the car.

Tarkington firefighters had to use the vehicle extrication tools to cut the teenager from his vehicle. He was then taken by City of Cleveland EMS to a waiting helicopter and then flown to a Houston-area trauma center.

This was the third call of the day for Tarkington firefighters, following two brush fire calls.
