In what appears to have been a road rage incident, seventeen year old Johnathan Michael Perez of the Cleveland, Texas area was killed when his vehicle was stuck from behind causing the car to roll over several times on CR 3478B in the Plum Grove area of north Liberty County. Liberty County Sheriff’s lead Investigator Jeff Ashworth said that a second teen in the vehicle of Perez was transported to the hospital treated and released with minor injuries.

At this time the investigation is in its initial stages and few confirmed facts are known. However, it appears that prior to the roll over crash, the two teens may have been involved in some type of incident that caused the road rage to escalate into the fatal crash.

Pct. 6 Justice of the Peace Judge Ralph Fuller ordered an autopsy and the investigation is continuing to determine further details.
