Just before 2 pm Montgomery County received a 911 call from a person threatening to shoot up a school. The call was determined to be from Liberty County and was transferred to the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office. Liberty County lost contact seconds later with the caller but the call was re-established moments later. Liberty County Dispatchers learned the female was threatening to shoot up Cleveland High School. Immediately Cleveland ISD was alerted and the schools went on lockdown. Tarkington followed suit as law enforcement officers from around the county converged on the school. Other law enforcement officers responded to a location off FM 1010 in the Plum Grove area where it was determined the call came from. At this hour Texas Rangers and Liberty County Deputies continue to question the female thought to be involved. The female who is 17-years old was just released May 5, 2019 after a prior threat. A high bond was set in that case but she was still able to bond out. Prior to that, she was handled at least twice for the same charge-terroristic threat. Those times she was given a personal recognizance bond.
