TRAFFIC SLOW ON US 59 AFTER 18-WHEELER CRASH

The 18-wheeler that rolled over earlier on US 59 between Cleveland and Splendora has been righted. Crews are now clearing the lumber from the scene. Northbound traffic is very slow due to rubberneckers. Southbound is down to one lane. As soon as the truck is moved from the scene all lanes will be open. Hazmat International will be loading and removing the lumber from the scene. However, they are able to work in the median without lane closure. The driver of the 18-wheeler was loaded with lumber and went to the shoulder to avoid a traffic slowdown in front of Anderson Ford. As the truck went into the median it sunk in the soft ground and rolled over. The driver was not injured.
