Just after midnight Tuesday a Montgomery County Precinct 4 Deputy stopped a motorcycle on traffic on Roman Forest Blvd. The motorcycle stopped and as the deputy approached it he sped off. A pursuit started where the rider threw his helmet into the ditch. About 300 yards further he attempted to turn north on Lynnwood Drive but missed the turn and ended up in the ditch. The driver, a skinned Hispanic male fled north into the woods on Lynnwood. A search of the area was started but the driver was not located. The motorcycle was not stolen. However, as Deputies prepared to tow it and as they inventoried it, they discovered his cell phone in a pouch. In addition, they discovered jail papers from the San Jacinto County Jail showing the suspect was released the day before on drug charges. After contacting San Jacinto County a mug shot was obtained and he was positively identified by the deputy who first attempted to stop him.
