Monday afternoon, Barbara Horn was lying in bed at her home in Spring when the recent storms moved into Montgomery County. Suddenly feeling the need to get up and leave the room, Horn rose up and walked out into the hallway just in time to narrowly avoid being crushed as a sixty foot pine tree crashed through her room, landing right next to the bed. The damage to the home was extensive, caving in part of the roof, ripping out half of the electrical wiring, and demolishing both of her satellite dishes. Horn herself was not injured.
South Montgomery County Fire Department responded to the scene to secure the utilities.
