Residents that reside in low lying areas around the Trinity River should seriously consider spending a few days with friends or relatives outside the flood plain .
Currently the release from the Livingston Dam is 88,000 cfs and roads into and out of riverfront subdivisions will flood , as may some homes that are not elevated.
We have not seen releases of this magnitude sine 1998 so anyone that believes their home is in danger of flooding should make arrangements to leave during daylight hours.
We are visiting with Red Cross officials and if the need arises we can open shelters over the weekend.
We will continue to update and once again, if you live along the Trinity River prepare for rising water and make your decision to leave in the daylight hours.
