TWO AGGIES KILLED IN GRIMES COUNTY CRASH

State Troopers are investigating a one car accident that killed two Aggies and injured two others.

The accident happened around 1:10 a.m. Sunday on FM 244, two miles south of Carlos.

Trooper Jimmy Morgan said a 2012 Honda Civic, driven by Alexis Emmou, was headed northwest on FM 244. Emmou was going too fast around a curve when she left the road to the right and hit a tree.

Emmou, 20 from Killeen, and Corinthia Cunningham-Williams, 22 from Brookshire, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other passengers were taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Rene Contreras, 20 from Kyle, was listed in critical condition. Tyra Preston, 20 from Houston, was listed in stable condition.
