Just after 1 pm a 2005 Hummer H2 was northbound on FM 1008 near Dayton when the driver left the road to the right. After overcorrecting the vehicle crossed the road and rolled over ejecting the driver. The driver, identified as Michelle Higdon Broussard, 48 of Daisetta was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston where she passed away just after 2:30pm.
Then this afternoon just before 4 pm a head on crash on FM 1774 near Cripple Creek claimed another life. DPS is currently on the scene of the head on crash in which another person was injured. FM 1774 will remain with very heavy traffic for the next few hours.
