Just before 5 p.m. a vehicle carrying a mother and her son crashed as they headed southbound on Gulf Coast Road in the Grangerland area. As they rounded a curve the right wheels slipped off the pavement causing her to over correct, cross Gulf Coast Road, and slam into a pine tree. The vehicle then pivoted, wedging itself between two other pine trees.
Caney Creek Fire Department and MCHD responded to the scene.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crash..
Recently there has been an increase of crashes on this road.
The speed limit is 35 mph, however most vehicles travel much faster than that.
