UBER DRIVER BUSTED FOR DWI

On June 12, 2019, Deputies with the Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constables Department made a traffic stop on an Uber driver after picking up passengers at a bar. Deputies stopped a 2012 Volkswagen after the driver was seen drifting out of their lane multiple times and was speeding. The driver identified herself as Elizabeth Warren from Conroe, Texas and said that she was an Uber driver picking up passengers. Elizabeth had three passengers in the vehicle that she picked up from the Golden Retriever Pub on FM 1488. Deputies could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from Elizabeth’s breath and had her exit the vehicle. After performing poorly on field sobriety tests Elizabeth became uncooperative and told the Deputies to just put her in jail. After refusing to submit to a blood draw a warrant was completed and Elizabeth did give a sample of her blood. Elizabeth was arrested for DWI, a class B misdemeanor and was taken to the Montgomery County Jail and released to Jail staff.
Constable Chris Jones comments: “The Precinct 5 Constable’s Office is dedicated to keeping the streets safe from intoxicated drivers.
