On January 23, 2019, at approximately 6:46 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to a two vehicle fatality crash on FM 163 in Liberty County. The preliminary crash investigation indicates a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling northbound on FM 163, and a 2011 Dodge Avenger was traveling southbound before they collided. The driver of the Tahoe, 82-year-old George Woodrome of Cleveland, was transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center in stable condition. The driver of the Avenger, 24, year-old Brianna Henson of Midlothian, was transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center in serious condition. The four passengers of the Avenger were: a 16-year-old female, transported to Memorial Herman Houston in critical condition, a 16-year-old female pronounced deceased on scene by Justice of the Peace, a 4-year-old female pronounced deceased at Memorial Herman Houston, and 57, year-old Mark Henson of Cleveland, also pronounced deceased on scene by Justice of the Peace.
