UPDATE ON LAKE CONROE RESCUE

On June 16, 2018, at approximately 3:45pm, a Montgomery County Precinct 1 Deputy working at the County Park, located at 14968 Highway 105 West, Conroe, Texas, was advised that an 8 year old female had impaled her foot on a submerged nail on the bulkhead.

Conroe Fire Department, EMs and Precinct 1 Lake units responded to the scene. The young lady old was transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

This is the second incident within the past few weeks; inspection of the bulkhead and swimming area is ongoing and the public is reminded that when using the lake Conroe, the county park swimming area, or any other pond or lake, extreme caution must be used around all docks and bulkheads, as there may be underwater hazards near and around these areas.
