In the evening hours of April 19, Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Investigators, Liberty County Constable’s (Pct.5 and Pct.6), Texas Department of Public Safety and the Montgomery County Constable, Pct. 4, all working together, located an Organized Criminal Activity on C.R. 3431E in the Plum Grove area of Liberty County. This is just east of the Montgomery County line.
Once again, by working together with the Community through tips received, Law Enforcement Officials were able locate two recently stolen trucks and numerous stolen auto parts, wheels and tires along with a copper melting operation at this location.
Two additional suspects have been apprehended as a result of the ongoing Investigation of this Organized Criminal Activity. As the Investigation continues, additional arrests are possible. A total list of property and value as yet to be accounted for, however, the estimate at this time is in excess of $25,000.00.
LCSO Investigators are also looking into the link of currency gained by this criminal activity being funneled through or directly into the “Tattoo” parlor located near Kirbywood in Cleveland. This investigation has been lengthy and intensive, however, the number of arrests and amount of property recovered has been successful and at minimum step forward in impeding Auto Theft and Copper Thefts in the area. Additionally , the tips anonymous citizens are providing, has proven to be highly effective in assisting LCSO Investigators search for, locate and apprehend these suspects.
