UPDATE ON PORTER TEXACO ROBBERY

Last Friday, at approximately 1:30 a.m., the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from aValley Ranch Texaco Store, in Porter, Texas.

The clerks claimed that two males had entered the store with one brandishing a hand gun. Reportedly the male brandishing the handgun instructed the clerks to place their hands in the air. When one of the clerks hesitated, the actor fired the handgun toward the rear of the store and then demanded money. A clerk proceeded behind the counter, put an un-disclosed amount of cash from the register in a bag, then handed it to the armed actor. The second actor reportedly took some store merchandise while the clerk was retrieving the money. The two then reportedly fled on foot from the location. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office units responded to the location but were unable to locate the actors.

Descriptions of the suspects are two Hispanic males wearing shorts and t-shirts, with what appeared to be t-shirts covering their faces. Investigators are in the process of reviewing evidence.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to call the Major Crimes Unit at (936) 760-5876 or Montgomery County Crime Stoppers.
