VANDAL DEAD AFTER BEING CONFRONTED BY RESIDENT

Just after 7 am Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting in the 26500 block of South Carrol in the Magnolia/Stage Coach area of Montgomery County. Units arrived to find a male with a single gunshot wound in the street. MCHD responded and determined the male was deceased. According to Montgomery County Lt. Scott Spencer, the resident saw the deceased male vandalizing his vehicle. When he confronted the deceased male he approached the resident in a threatening manner with what was believed to be a weapon in his hand. The homeowner then shot the deceased male one time with a small-caliber weapon. Montgomery County Detectives are being assisted by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
