Victim held at gun point in Wal-Mart parking lot, suspects captured!

On Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 10:14pm the Cleveland Police Department was alerted to a robbery that was occurring in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Information received advised three suspects robbed a male victim at gunpoint. The three suspects were seen fleeing the parking lot in two separate vehicles. One vehicle was described as a red Camaro and the other was described as a red van.

Sergeant David Edwards and Officer Erica Fleming located the suspect vehicles following each other on US 59 South Bound. Both Officers activated their emergency equipment to conduct traffic stops, upon doing so the Camaro pulled to the right of the roadway, but the van continued southbound.

Officer Fleming conducted the traffic stop involving the Camaro. Officer Fleming detained the driver. Further investigation found the driver was also in possession of illegal drugs as well as an accomplice in the reported robbery.

The van was pursued by Sergeant Edwards. The pursuit continued US 59 southbound. The fleeing van traveled onto FM 2090. The pursuit continued until the van struck another vehicle. Two males fled the scene into a wooded area. Sergeant Edwards remained with the victims that were struck by the two suspects until medical personnel could arrive.

A short time later, a Montgomery County Precinct 4 Deputy Constable observed the two male suspects at which time they were apprehended and returned to the scene.

The Splendora Police Department arrived to assist and conducted the traffic accident investigation.

All suspects were transported to the Cleveland Police Department and charged with “Aggravated Robbery” which is a First Degree Felony. The two males were also charged with “Evading Arrest with a Vehicle” which is a State Jail Felony.

The two male suspects were found to be juveniles, both are age 16. They were transported to a Juvenile Holding Facility in Conroe, Texas where they are currently being held.

The female suspect is identified as Jasmine Caballero, age 18.

All three suspects are from the Houston, Texas area.
