Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Trooper’s responded to a one-vehicle fatality crash on N. Mount Mariah Rd. in Montgomery County. The preliminary crash investigation indicates on 02-24-2021 at approximately 08:13 p.m., a 2013 Hyundai Sonata was traveling east on N. Mount Mariah Rd at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a guard rail.
The driver of the Hyundai, 23-year-old Vincente Latajea Lytle out of Anderson, TX, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The first passenger of the Hyundai, 18-year-old Darius Huff out of Montgomery, TX, was pronounced deceased at HCA Conroe Hospital by medical staff. The second passenger, 20-year-old Marcel Tayler was transported to HCA Conroe Hospital in critical condition.
The third passenger, the 17-year-old female out of College Station, TX, was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital (College Station) in stable condition. This is an on-going investigation and there is no additional information available for release at this time.
