VIDEO: INVESTIGATION OF JOE CORLEY DETENTION CENTER & THE COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY

For several years there have been a mix of Federal and State investigations into the Montgomery County Mental Health Facility and the Joe Corley Federal Holding Facility. Monday morning Montgomery County District Attorney Brett Ligon addressed Commissioners Court on the findings and gave some stern advice.

 

ON APRIL 8, 2013 MONTGOMERY COUNTY DISTRICT ATTONEY TALKED ABOUT THE GRAND JURY INVESTIGATION

Mark Bosma, Director of Infrastructure for Montgomery County addressed the Commissioners Court Monday morning after the results of a Grand Jury Investigation was presented. Bosma found several items dealing with the Joe Corley Jail Facility and the Montgomery County Mental Health Unit both built several years ago. The contracts and construction are in question. On point he made was how a full set of blueprints can be completed just 4 days after contracts are signed. Also the unit specs showing an 1100 bed facility but ended up just over 1000 beds.
