TWO VICTIMS TRAPPED AS POWER LINES FALL ON VEHICLE
Two victims were trapped in a pickup truck on Tejas Drive shortly before midnight tonight. The truck came around a curve, skid sideways striking a power pole with the passenger door. When Lake Conroe Fire Department arrived they found live power lines over the truck. Unable to gain access due to the live electricity they, MCHD, and officers were forced to wait until Mid South Electric arrived on the scene to cut the power. Once the power was cut the real work began with the firefighters. Just about every tool on the truck was used to free the male and female victims from the vehicle. Overall it was almost one hour before they were completely out of the vehicle. Most of the time was due to the power but firefighters were met with a real challenge to pry and cut the victims free. Due to fog moving into the area Phi Air Medical and Lifeflight were both unable to fly. CONROE GARDENRIDGE MULTI-ALARM FIRE
Firefighters are battling a large blaze at a pottery store along Interstate 45 in Conroe Wednesday afternoon. The 2-alarm fire broke out at Garden Ridge Pottery at 16778 North freeway southbound near Texas 242 about 12:10 p.m., according to the Conroe Fire Department. Fire officials said some people have been treated for smoke inhalation but their injuries are not serious. No other injuries have been reported. Firefighters don’t know what sparked the blaze.

LIBERTY COUNTY TWINS FOUND IN UNHUMAN CONDITIONS
An 8:55 am call, this date, to Cpl. Michael Strait of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department to meet Federal Probation Officers resulted in charges of Abandonment/Endangerment of a Child on Amy Castillo, age 27, after two (2) year old twin girls were found locked in a room, nude and without food or sanitary bathroom facilities. Castillo is the Aunt of the twins. Lead Investigator Cpl. Strait is in the process of preparing a case to forward to the District Attorney’s office for possible charges against the mother of the two little girls, Brandy Dominguez, age 20, who, initially, was not at home when the Federal Officers arrived.
The Federal Probation Officers, out of Beaumont, had gone to the residence located at 200 CR 2283 to check on Brandy Dominguez as she is on pre-trial release for a Human Trafficking charge. Dominguez was not at home when they arrived but her sister, Amy Castillo, was and allowed the officers to enter the home. While there, the Officers heard scratching coming from a door leading to a bedroom. With Castillo’s permission, the double-locked door was opened and the Officers found the two twin girls in the room. Both were nude, no food nor toys were in the room, and Cpl. Strait stated there was only one blanket on the floor and the room smelled strongly of human waste.
Liberty County EMS was summoned to the scene and checked the little girls’ physical condition which appeared to be satisfactory. The CPS office was contacted and as of this writing, they are en route to the scene to do a case evaluation on the disposition of the twin girls. The case will continue under investigation by the LCSO, CPS, and the D.A’s office.

VIETNAM WALL COMES TO CLEVELAND
The Vietnam traveling wall arrived in Cleveland on Friday and will be on display through 2 pm on Monday. It is located at the American Legion on FM 321/SH 105 just 1.5 miles east of the Cleveland Loop. There is no admission and it is open 24 hours. Many said the lighting at night really highlights the wall.

COMMISSIONER NOACK ADDRESSES WOODLANDS CRIME
In light of the rash of armed robberies in South Montgomery County / The Woodlands, Precinct 3 Commissioner James Noack called a press conference Saturday because he wants to send a clear message to those responsible.
“I want the criminals to know that they’re not welcome in south Montgomery County – that they need to go somewhere else,” Noack said.
The first-term commissioner, who took office in January, said “overall” his community is safe.
“You know, I’ve lived here since 2008, this is the first time I’ve had neighbors, friends, citizens calling me telling me that they feel unsafe,” he said.
“We’ve had more armed robberies than you would say would be usual,” Noack said. “It’s certainly well outside of ordinary to have three men with a gun enter into an establishment in The Woodlands at 9 o’clock in the evening demanding money from the cash register, so to that extent it is abnormal.”
Noack first said he was “not a law enforcement officer” and did not want to speculate on the “patterns or connectivity,” but later came close to doing just that.
“I think it’s the connectivity spurred by the growth,” Noack said. ” We are much more accessible than we’ve ever been, with Woodlands Parkway connected to 2978 — the growth that we’ve experienced on Gosling Road and Kuykendahl Rd, and with the activity on 45.”
“As commissioner, I want to make certain our law enforcement has the tools and resources they need to combat this; I want to make sure our citizens know their safety is our number one priority,” he said.
“Montgomery County prides itself on the law enforcement that we provide, and Sheriff Tommy Gage, Constable Ryan Gable, and our District Attorney Brett Ligon (none of whom were present), along with myself, understand what a priority safety is and we want our citizens to know that they will be safe at all times,” Noack said.
Noack stopped short of saying what tools or resources he was offering to law enforcement, but he offered some practical advice to his constituents.
I think “We would like our residents to be vigilant,” he said. “Lock your doors, shut your garage door when you enter your house. If you see something out of the ordinary, call us and let us know.”
“There’s really nothing too small.”

HARRIS COUNTY PRECINCT 4 PURSUIT AND CRASH
Just before 3 am Monday a Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constable attempted to stop a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe in the Kenswick Subdivision on Kenswick Drive for running a stop sign The driver of the vehicle sped off taking deputies south on Kenswick to Will Clayton where the driver turned east in the westbound lanes and continued to US 59. Once on 59 he headed northbound and into Montgomery County. Just after Northpark Drive the driver cut through the median to the feeder and proceeded northbound. Just before he reached Hammond Drive he lost control, went over the curb and slammed into the freeway illumination tower concrete base.
Porter firefighters worked close to 20 minutes to free the driver. He was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston in very critical condition.

CAPTAIN HIGGINS ADDRESSES TEXAS CRIME STOPPERS
Also Wednesday, Captain Higgins addressed the group. Higgins is the patrol officer from St. Landry’s Parish, Louisiana who was promoted within a year from patrol, to Sgt. to Lt. and to Captain. This after he accepted a position from Sheriff Bobby Guidroz as his Public Information Officer. At the time he didn’t know that it included Crime Stoppers. Each week he would get in front of the cameras for local news crews in an effort to find wanted felons through Crime Stoppers. After several weeks he decided he could not speak from the scripts and decided to speak from the heart. It worked, 22 wanted felons turned themselves in within weeks. It put St. Landry’s Parish Crime Stoppers in the International Spotlight. The Louisiana State Police came to him and asked him to do a spot for them on seven wanted gang members called the “Gremlins”. His strong message which he did with several local law enforcement groups, brought the ACLU to St. Landry’s Parish. The Sheriff asked him to tone down his spots. To this Higgins said, “I will not kneel to violent street gangs. I will not kneel to murderers or the parents that raised them. I will not kneel to a discredited, wanna-be, black activist that doesn’t really have the best interest of his people in mind, who just wants to make a profit,” says Higgins. “I will not kneel to bureaucrats in Baton Rouge, Washington or anywhere else who have forgotten why they wear a badge and who have forgotten who they serve

CONROE ISD BUS CRASH
Just before 9 p.m. a Conroe ISD Bus returning from a girl’s volleyball game was southbound on Gossling just south of Research Forest. The bus with 35 onboard was turning left into the McDonalds parking lot when it was t-boned by a Volkswagen. Of the 35 onboard, 5 suffered minor injuries but refused transport to the hospital, 7 were transported to the hospital, 23 were not injured. The 41-year-old driver of the Volkswagen will be charged with intoxication assault his 39-year-old passenger is being charged with an open container in a motor vehicle. Gossling Road was closed for over an hour as DPS conducted the investigation. They are being assisted by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Vehicular Crime Unit.

CROCKETT MARTIN MOTORCYCLE CRASH
Qt 8 am Saturday NMCFD responded to a reported motorcycle crash in the 5800 block of Crockett Martin near Highline Drive. Units arrived and found a male in the roadway. MCHD transported that male in critical condition to Conroe Regional Trauma Center. DPS investigated the crash and determined the 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle was southbound on Crockett Martin. A man driving a silver GMC pickup was northbound and not seeing the motorcycle turned left into a private drive. The motorcycle to avoid collision applied the brakes and laid the bike down. It then slid into the northbound lanes and struck another pickup which was northbound. Crockett Martin was closed for about 90 minutes for the crash investigation

MAGNOLIA CHILD DROWNING UPDATE
On October 12, 2020, at about 12:05 pm, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a local pool company employee who stated he found a male child floating face down in a hot tub at a residence
in the 28000 block of Beth Marie Dr., Magnolia, Texas. At that time, law enforcement and medical first responders were dispatched to the residence. A Montgomery County Precinct 5 Deputy Constable was the
first to arrive on the scene and began life-saving measures until medical personnel arrived. The 20-month old child was transported by the Montgomery County Hospital District to a local hospital. While en route
to the hospital the ambulance was involved in a crash with a citizen vehicle. The child was moved to another ambulance and continued to the hospital. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the
circumstances surrounding the crash involving the ambulance. The circumstances surrounding the child in the hot tub are currently under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The child is currently in critical condition at the hospital.

PLUM GROVE CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Monday nights Plum Grove City Council meeting was attended by very few which is unusual from the past few meetings. Two main accomplishments were made at the meeting. The first was the hiring of a Police Chief. Of the many applicants, current Liberty County Constable John Joslin was selected to be the new Police Chief starting January 1, 2021. Joslin was raised in Plum Grove and knows the community well. In addition, the Council has retained Former ABC 13 Investigative Wayne Dolcefino to assist them in investigating some of the issues going on with the new development which has basically swallowed the small community. The City is in the midst of a lawsuit against Colony Ridge, the developer over drainage which has caused flooding and additional damage to the Community. With the cost of attorney’s, it was found to be feasible to hire Dolcefino to handle the investigative work for the suit and additional potential suits and claims of corruption within the county.

SH 242 AUTO VS 18 WHEELER
Just after 3 pm, a Hyundai passenger car was eastbound on SH 242 near Grey Oaks. Traffic was heavy at the time as sweepers were working at cleaning the highway. An 18 wheeler pulling a Landall trailer slowed for traffic. The Hyundai slammed into the rear of the truck. The edge of the bed went through the windshield striking the driver in the head. He was transported to Memorial Herman in the Woodlands in critical condition. The last update was that he was critical but stable in surgery. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured. DPS investigated the crash. Eastbound lanes were routed to the eastbound shoulder with very heavy traffic backup. The road reopened at 5:30 pm.
