CRASH FM 1314 AMND OLD SORTERS
Just before 9pm a plumbing company van was southbound on FM 1314 at Old Sorters when an SUV made a u-turn in front of it. The driver of the van tried to take evasive action but hit the SUV. A pipe rack on the roof of the van launched off and down FM 1314 spilling pipe.

MAGNOLIA 2 ALARM FIRE-THE CRAWFISH JOINT
Just before 9 am Monday Magnolia Fire Department was dispatched to a commercial building fire on FM 1488 near Windcrest. As trucks turned the corner from the station they could already see heavy smoke. As they arrived firefighters had heavy smoke coming from The Crawfish Joint Restaurant. A second alarm was immediately pulled bring Lake Conroe, Woodlands and Needham Fire Departments. Firefighters were able to keep the fire contained inside the restaurant with the help of a firewall that had been installed. The Crawfish Joint suffered extensive damage. Other businesses in the strip center received some smoke damage including Lake Windcrest Cleaners, Shaggie Dog Grooming Salon, ATA Martial Arts, Casey’s Pub, A Southern Style Salon, Texas Wellness Center which shares the wall with the restaurant did suffer water and smoke damage. There were no injuries. The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office is on location investigating.

HARRIS COUNTY OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING
Harris County detectives are investigating an officer-involved shooting on Airline at West Mount Houston in north Houston.
Detectives say deputies shot and killed the one suspect. Another suspect has been taken into custody.
Harris County deputies were called to 9559 Airline Drive on a report of a stolen truck at about 2:15 p.m.
According to the sheriff’s office, four deputies in multiple vehicles were able to box in a truck with two suspects in it.
The driver allegedly tried to ram into the deputies. All four deputies fired their weapons.
Investigators say the driver was shot multiple times and pronounced dead on the scene.
Another suspect ran away but was taken into custody soon afterward.
As with all officer-involved shootings, all four deputies will be placed on administrative leave as the investigation continues.
The truck had been stolen from an air conditioning technician earlier. The truck was equipped with a GPS locator.
The video was shot by several individuals who were on the business property. After multiple deputies giving over 30 orders both in English and Spanish to exit the vehicle, the driver backed up. As deputies tried to box him into preventing him from fleeing and turning into a dangerous pursuit he attempted to ram them. The man died at the scene. No deputies were injured.

SPLENDORA ROAD RAGE SHOOTING
About 630pm a driver was southbound on US 59 at Highway 105 in Cleveland when he was cut off by a maroon pickup. The driver that was cutoff driving a silver pickup took matters into his own hands as he took a 9mm pistol and fired 3 rounds into the maroon truck. The driver called 911 to report the incident. Splendora Police were set up at East River and US 59 and attempted to stop the shooter’s vehicle. They were finally able to get him to stop at US 59 between FM 1314 and Northpark. The driver of the maroon truck was not injured but had 3 bullet holes in the rear fender. The shooter, from Woodville Texas, was arrested and transported to the Cleveland Police Department for booking since the incident happened in their jurisdiction. As the Splendora Officers were stopping the shooter an intoxicated driver slammed into the back of the patrol car. DPS arrested that driver for DWI.

BROWDER TRAYLOR AUTO PEDESTRIAN FATAL CRASH
Just before 6pm, a 15-year-old female was walking down Browder Traylor Road a short time after getting off the school bus. A green Toyota Sequoia was southbound and struck the female, he then veered across the road and through the ditch striking a water meter, trash cans, and a fence before coming back up on the roadway. The driver then continued to the Ferrell’s Country Market just down the road at Browder Traylor and Williams Road and walked into the store. Another male walked in and informed him he struck the young lady. DPS currently has the driver detained. MCHD and North Montgomery County Fire Department responded to the scene and started CPR, however, the young lady passed away. Montgomery County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack responded to the scene and ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the teen to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy

FATAL CRASH US 59 AT FOSTORIA
Early Thursday morning a crash on US 59 in Liberty County had traffic backed up on US 59 into Splendora. An 18 wheeler was at a stop, a motor home pulling a trailer loaded with motorcycles was stopped behind the 18-wheeler, a red Ford F150 was stopped behind those two vehicles. A driver in a Dodge pickup came up behind and failed to stop. That driver slammed into the red pickup crushing it and driving it forward. The Ford pickup then struck the trailer loaded with motorcycles and continued until it sideswiped the 18-wheeler causing it to spin and hit the wall. Before striking the wall the white pickup truck with heavy front damage passed between the wall and the red truck and came to rest approximately 100 feet further down the road. MCHD and East Montgomery County Fire responded and performed CPR on the male driver of the red truck but he was declared deceased. Montgomery County Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Jason Dunn responded to the scene to perform an inquest and ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. DPS is assisting Splendora with the investigation. The driver of the white truck was transported to Kingwood Hospital for a blood draw but was not injured. There were no other injuries.
