James Edward Tubbs turned himself into the Walker County Sheriff’s Office, Jail on Saturday
July 9, 2016 at 6:45 am. He is currently being held on Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1 4G< 200G a First Degree Felony with a $75,000.00 bond. Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, 1G< 4G a Second Degree Felony with a $50,000.00 bond and a Parole Violation warrant with no bond at this time.

On July 1, 2016 the Walker County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in Riverside, Texas at the residence of James Edward Tubbs B/M DOB:12/26/1950. Investigators had received numerous complaints of drug dealing at the residence and it has been the target of two home invasions. Walker County patrol officers have also arrested at least five suspects leaving the residence who were in possession of narcotics.
Investigators developed probable cause to believe Tubbs was selling methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and pain medications. Upon execution of the warrant investigators found methamphetamine packaged for resale, crack cocaine, marijuana and a 12 gauge shotgun. Tubbs is currently on parole and is not permitted to possess firearms. Tubbs was not present when investigators executed the warrant and he is currently being sought by law enforcement.
Other agencies assisting on the investigation were the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Huntsville Police Department
