City of Waller Police arrested 21 year old Corey J. Taylor of College Station, TX for Felony Evading and Possession of Marijuana. Police also arrested 24 year old Jacord G.Hickman of Houston, TX for Evading Arrest.
On Sunday, November 23, 2014 at approximately 9:00 p.m. Waller Officer M. Lopez observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on the West bound feeder road of Hwy 290 near FM 362, Waller County, Waller, TX. Officer Lopez attempted to conduct a traffic stop and the white vehicle disreguarded the red light, turned north on FM 362 and accelerated. Officer Lopez pursued the vehicle reaching speeds up to 90 mph. Officer Lopez reported the white vehicle disreguarded a stop sign at FM 362 and FM 1488 turning west onto FM 1488 again accelerating to speeds up to 90 mph. The pursuit continued into the City of Hempstead where the white vehicle turned into a church parking lot at 715 FM 1488 and became stuck in the mud. The driver and passenger fled on foot. Both were apprehended by officers near the immediate area. Officers conducted an inventory of the suspects vehicle and seized what was believed to be marijuana from the trunk compartment. The marijuana was later weighed at 1.5 pounds. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Corey J. Taylor and was booked into the Waller
County Jail on charges of Felony Evading and Possession of Marijuana.The passenger of the vehicle was identified as Jacord G. Hickman and was booked into the
Waller County Jail on charges of Evading Arrest / Detention.

During the pursuit an officer attempted to spike the vehicle and was forced to jump out of the way almost being struck  by the fleeing.vehicle
