Warrants Issued and One Arrested In Ross Dress for Less Fire

Two arrest warrants were obtained for the suspects involved in the Ross Dress for Less fire that occurred on July 3, 2011. Jon David Fletcher and Brian Jacob VanOrman were identified as the suspects involved in setting the fire inside the store shortly before closing. Information obtained during the investigation led investigators to the identity of the suspects. Investigators from the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office were able to obtain evidence that tied both suspects to this crime.

Jon Fletcher was arrested yesterday by Investigators from the Fire Marshal’s Office and placed in the Montgomery County Jail. At this time Brian VanOrman is believed to be a fugitive from justice and may be staying in Montgomery County, San Marcos or Leander. These are all places that VanOrman is known to have ties with. Brian VanOrman is 27 years old, 6’01” and approximately 225 pounds.

The Fire Marshal’s Office would like to thank Montgomery County Crime Stoppers, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department Crime Lab, SWAT and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for their assistance in this investigation.
