WATER RESCUE IN PROGRESS

For the second time in two days North Montgomery County Fire Department, Lake Conroe Fire Department and Montgomery Precinct One Constables have had to put their rescue boats into action on Lake Conroe.

The latest was dispatched at 12:45 p.m. today just off Kingston Cove. The patient from that scene has been taken to the boat ramp and is awaiting MCHD. It appears that someone riding a jet ski had a medical emergency.

Yesterday afternoon a sixteen foot bass boat with three males and three females capsized. Once again all responded. After rescuing those boaters who were uninjured the boat was towed to the Marine Office to load it on the owners trailer.

At the tie of yesterdays incident there were white caps on Lake Conroe.

This weekend divers from Montgomery County Precinct One Constables Office, North Montgomery Fire Department and The Woodlands Fire Department are all participating in an advanced underwater search and rescue class at the Lake Conroe marine office.

The class started Friday and continues through Sunday. With Fridays heat many divers were able to work on their suntan ,however some were excessive. The class will teach them new techniques in underwater search and rescue.

Items were placed in the lake and searchers had to use their experience to find them.

In addition to finding the items placed in the water for them many discarded beer and soft drink bottles were recovered  from the bottom.
