Anyone spending the afternoon on Lake Conroe should exercise caution, with strong winds causing turbulent water conditions. Gusts of wind are so strong, they are creating white caps on the lake, which can easily spell disaster for those using watercraft if they aren’t vigilant.
The warning comes from Lt. Tim Cade, who heads up the Lake Patrol Division of the Montgomery County Pct. 1 Constable’s Office, who also said to ask people to PLEASE tie up their boats, so they don’t drift all over the place.
As always, Lt. Cade stresses the importance of wearing a life jacket and not operating any watercraft while impaired.
