On January 21, 2017, Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office-Woodlands District were dispatched to a residence in the area of Sawdust Road and Sawmill Road in reference to an assault. When deputies arrived they met with the victim, a 38 year old female who advised she was walking her dog on the bike path on Sawmill Road just before S. High Oaks Circle. At that time, an unidentified black male approached her from behind and grabbed her forcefully on her shoulder, which left a scratch. The victim’s dog then attacked the suspect and bit him on an unknown location on his body. The suspect began screaming and ran North on the pathway.  There was blood located on the bike bath and on the dog’s mouth. The victim then returned to her residence at which time she contacted the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to report the incident. 

The suspect is described as a clean shaven black male approximately 5’10”, 175 pounds in his early 20’s. He was wearing black jogging pants, red shirt, and black baseball hat.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will be adding extra patrols in the area and is continuing the investigation.
