Thursday evening Montgomery County dispatchers received a call for a wrong way driver traveling south in the northbound lane of US 59 near East River. Within seconds MCHD was dispatching fire and EMS to a reported crash with entrapment on US 59 northbound near Creekwood. Fire and EMS arrived on the scene to find a Pontiac with extensive damage between Creekwood and FM 2090.The female driver was critical and after being extricated from the vehicle was transported to Conroe Regional Trauma Center in Conroe. Splendora Police Sgt. Teller investigated the crash and learned the females husband had run out of fuel on Crockett Martin Road near their home. The female driver did have a gas container full of fuel in the passenger compartment. No other vehicles were involved in the crash and officials are trying to determine where she actually got on the freeway ad how. No other vehicles were involved when the female hit the end of the concrete wall.
