At 7:15 Thursday morning Cynthia Reed-Langlois, 45 of Splendora was driving eastbound on FM 2090 in her 1995 Nissan pickup just before Morgan Drive. With the sun lined up down the center of the road it made it difficult for her to see. She pulled over on the south side of the road to clean her windshield.
As she exited the vehicle and started to clean it Manda Lynn Lockhart, 34, also of Splendora was also eastbound in her 2010 Suburban. She too had the sun in her eyes and did not see Langlois, who had parked partially in the moving lane of traffic and was standing in the eastbound lane. Lockhart struck Langlois with the right front of her vehicle.
MCHD responded to the scene and transported Reed-Langlois to Hermann Hospital in the critical condition with severe leg injuries.
