About 730pm a wrecker driver with National Roadside stopped to get fuel at the Valero on Reed Road and SH 288 in south Houston. He was about to drop a customers vehicle nearby. He immediately called his boss who had GPS tracking on the truck. Houston Police was notified and attempted to stop locate the stolen truck. The same time another driver from the company tried to catch up to it. About 9 pm Houston Police notified Montgomery County that the truck had entered Montgomery County and was on FM 1314 near SH 99. Units with DPS, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and Precinct 4 Constables attempted to catch up to the truck. The truck turned into Magnolia Bend Subdivision off FM 1314 and stopped on Ponderosa Circle at Hickory. She was taken into custody. The owner of the wrecker and driver responded to the scene and recovered his new wrecker. The female will be charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
