Thursday morning a Splendora Police Office on patrol off Buck Road noticed a gate on a home open which is normally closed during the day. On further inspection, he noticed the lock on the gate had been cut. As he entered the property and went around the back of the house he found a Ford F-150 pickup stuck in the mud and two males and a female working to get it out. When they spotted him they fled into the wooded area. The female, identified as Heather Abernathy, age 27, of 24210 Silver Trails in Huffman. She was carrying a two-year-old boy as she ran. She was quickly captured as was one of the males. Police determined the black Ford F-150 had been stolen on January 10th, on Nonesuch Road in the Grangerland area, The trio had brought a U-Haul car-dolly and were attempting to steal a pickup truck at the location when the Ford got stuck. The two were arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. Then later Thursday afternoon Splendora Police spotted Mark Anthony Johnson, 23,of 133 Rob More still in muddy clothes from when he fled earlier in the day. He was arrested and also transported to the Montgomery County Jail. Arrested were Timothy Bickford, 27. He is charged with burglary of a habitation, theft of metal and evading arrest. Mark Anthony Johnson is charged with evading arrest, burglary of a habitation, terroristic threat against a public servant, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and theft of metal. Heather Abernathy is charged with evading arrest and child endangerment. All three have been jailed, however, Johnson seems to think he was being funny when he gave jailers a home address of 133 ROB MORE in Houston.
