WOODLANDS HOME DESTROYED BY FIRE

Early this morning, our Dispatchers received calls reporting a structure fire in the Shadowbend area of The Woodlands and worked quickly to get the appropriate resources dispatched to the scene. Our members arrived and discovered a large residential structure that was heavily involved with fire. In all, nearly 30 of your Professional firefighters worked to bring the fire under control, and no injuries, firefighters or civilians, have been reported.
** UPDATE ** Your firefighters are wrapping up the scene of this large fire and returning to service. Crews did an excellent job this morning, performing shift change on location, while still working to mitigate the scene; all while other crews in the Woodlands have been extremely busy as well responding to other emergencies. It takes a substantial effort, and many resources to provide such a high level of professional service to our residents. We are fortunate that we have outstanding support from our community, and we are all grateful to serve here.

A busy morning for Firefighters. In addition to this fire, South Montgomery County Firefighters responded this morning to a fire alarm at Dosey Doe’s on I-45 and found a dryer on fire filling the building with smoke. A single fire sprinkler activated and contained the fire before it could spread.

Crews from The Woodlands Fire Department are on scene at another reported commercial fire in the 1700 block of Lake Woodlands Dr.

Both incidents have quickly been declared under control and crews are working to make sure the buildings are safe.
