Just before 3 am Sunday morning, Billy Watson, a wrecker driver for Valentin Towing was traveling southbound on the US 59 feeder just north of SH 242. All at once he spotted an 18-wheeler coming head-on at him traveling northbound on the south feeder. Watson, using his overhead lights was able to stop the driver. After telling the driver he was traveling the wrong way Watson headed back to his wrecker. Before he could even get it in gear, the truck driver moved forward and tried turning into the Corner Store parking lot. In doing so the truck driver hit the bed of the wrecker with the rear of his trailer, ripping the bed partially off. The driver was cited for traveling the wrong way on a one-way and expired trailer plates.
