Just after 8 p.m. Monday, a motorcycle was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of traffic on FM 2978 and Huffsmith-Kuykendahl. A PT Cruiser was traveling southbound crossing over the new bridge which crosses the railroad tracks. As bot approached the top of the bridge the motorcycle struck the right front of the PT Cruiser. The driver of the PT Cruiser was uninjured. The motorcycle driver was in serious but stable condition and was flown by Life Flight to Hermann Hospital in Houston. The motorcycle driver was conscious at the scene and told deputies he got turned around on the bridge which has not been in place very long.
At this time it has nt been determined if drugs or alcohol are a factor.
The crash was investigated by Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
