100 CLUB TO HELP FALLEN HOUSTON POLICE OFFICER AND HOUSTON FIREFIGHTER

The 100 Club Assists the Dependent Families of
Senior Police Officer and Firefighter Paramedic
Killed in the Line of Duty
Houston Police Department Senior Police Officer Alex Roberts
and Houston Fire Department Firefighter Paramedic Stephen Scott

 

 

HOUSTON, TX (September 18, 2025) The 100 Club, a 72-year-old Houston-based non-profit organization that supports the dependents of law enforcement officers and firefighters killed or seriously injured in the line of duty, announces its assistance for the dependent families of Houston Police Department Senior Police Officer Alex Roberts and Houston Fire Department Firefighter Paramedic Stephen Scott.
Senior Police Officer Alex Roberts was killed in the line of duty on September 17, 2025, while conducting a traffic escort when his motorcycle was struck by another vehicle. He had been with the Houston Police Department for fifteen years. Senior Police Officer Roberts is survived by his wife and one child. Houston Firefighter Paramedic Stephen Scott passed away on September 17, 2025, following an on-duty medical emergency that occurred on September 14, 2025. Firefighter Paramedic Scott had been with the Houston Fire Department for twenty-eight years. Firefighter Paramedic Scott is survived by
his wife and adult children. A $20,000 check will be presented to each family to help with any immediate financial needs. Additional financial support will be made after an assessment of needs is conducted. The 100 Club has assisted over 220 officer and firefighter families with more than $50 million in financial assistance. Donations are being accepted to “The 100 Club Survivors Fund”, that provides benefits to the dependents of firefighters and law enforcement officers who are killed or seriously injured in the line

100% of “Survivors Fund” donations go to the dependents of law enforcement officers and firefighters killed or seriously injured in the line of duty. The 100 Club began in 1953 when a handful of citizens banded together to provide financial support to the dependents of Houston Police Officers killed in the line of duty. Since then, the 100 Club has
grown to over 26,000 members who continue to band together for the purpose of aiding dependents of peace officers and firefighters who are killed or seriously injured in the line of duty. The 100 Club provides coverage in 32 counties in Southeast Texas and certain state law enforcement agencies throughout Texas.
