Just after 11 a.m. Conroe Fire Department responded to a tank truck fire at River Pointe Drive and Interstate 45 Southbound. Arriving on the scene they found a tanker carrying waste oil products and had heavy fire showing on the right rear. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, The fire was believed to have started on the braking system of the truck.
At this time the southbound feeder of I-45 between Rive Pointe and South Loop 336 is down to two lanes until the truck can be removed.
MCPR was created in 2008 after Jamie left a newspaper that conflicted with her ethics. Initially, it was blog style website where Jamie wrote stories and posted them with photos. Scott provided video, and as the blog grew in popularity, businesses began to inquire about advertising. Scott Engle and Jamie Nash are Montgomery County residents and veteran law enforcement / breaking news reporters, who met covering a law enforcement story and have covered multiple counties, with Scott as a television videographer for multiple local stations and national networks, and Jamie as newspaper / magazine / online reporter.
