2-ALARM FIRE IN CLEVELAND

Just after 9:30 am Friday Cleveland Fire Department received a call for a possible commercial fire with smoke visible at one of the Flea Markets on US 59 at County Road 379 (Morgan Cemetery). While responding Cleveland’s Chief was able to see heavy smoke rising ahead and immediately called for a second alarm. Tarkington, Plum Grove and East Montgomery County Fire Departments responded. They arrived on the scene to find “4 Brothers Ice Cream Store” fully involved. Crews immediately attacked the fire which included two propane bottles. They were able to stop the fire in the business itself with only slight smoke damage to the other units.
