Saturday evening close to 10pm a report of an auto-pedestrian crash occurred on Yancy Street in New Caney. Early reports were that the family had been unloading a vehicle. When that was completed someone backed the vehicle up not realizing the 2-year-old was behind the vehicle. The was transported to Kingwood Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The Montgomery County Sheriffs Office Homicide and Violent Crimes Unit along with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is investigating.
