LIBERTY COUNTY — A search is underway for a missing 2-year-old boy who is believed to have wandered into a heavily wooded area around Sam Houston Lake Estates. The child has been missing since around 3:30 p.m.
The area has thick underbrush and some bodies of water.
Members of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office K-9 tracking unit, Tarkington Volunteer Fire Department and other agencies are participating in the search.
No civilian volunteers are needed at this time.
