SH242 has just reopened between Old Houston and FM 1314 after a fatal accident this morning. The accident which happened just after 6:30 has had it closed for some time. A male in his forties was said by witnesses to have walked in the roadway and walked in front of an 18-wheeler. He was pronounced dead on the scene by Precinct 4 Judge James Metts.
