At least three people are dead in what appears to be a double murder-suicide in northwest Harris County, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
On Wednesday, at about 6:10 p.m. deputies responded to a call of a discharge of a firearm in the 10800 block of Cora Street. At the scene, deputies found a man who had been shot in the front yard of the home. Deputies also heard more gunshots in the home and called SWAT for assistance.
A second man, believed to be the suspect, was also found dead in the home. It’s believed a third person inside the home is dead as well, according to HCSO.
SWAT units who responded are still working to secure the scene. Witnesses told authorities that there were up to four people inside the home at the time of the shooting.
At this time, the motive behind the shooting is unknown, but Gonzalez said all three people are believed to be related.
