There are currently 3 major fires working in and close to the county. One at FM 1485 near the railroad tracks was just stopped from burning several houses by fire fighters. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has evacuated residents who back up to this fire. With flames shooting 100 feet into the air and winds running it through the woods.
Another fire is at FM 1097 and I45 in Willis with multiple departments fighting it also.
In addition Spring, Woodlands, Timber Lakes and South Montgomery Fire Departments are battling a three alarm commercial structure fire in the area of Old Town Spring.
