Saturday night Oak Ridge North PD Officers attempted to stop a Dodge Challenger SRT with out-of-state plates that matched the description of an attempted theft of a vehicle report. The vehicle was occupied by a male driver and a female passenger. The vehicle fled southbound on IH-45 to Beltway 8 eastbound and then northbound on SH-249. The vehicle then exited at FM 1960 and finally came to a stop at FM 1960 and Kuykendahl with the assistance of Harris County Constables Office Precinct 4. The driver was found to be in possession of several credit cards and driver’s licenses not belonging to him. Also found in the vehicle was crack cocaine, marijuana, THC wax, Xanax packaged for sale, Ecstasy pills, methamphetamine, and Adderal pills. The driver was arrested for Evading Arrest and Detention and the possession of controlled substances. The female passenger was released. No officers were injured or vehicles damaged during the pursuit. The driver stated that he ran cause he was scared.
