Early Monday morning a newspaper delivery driver for the Bryan -College Station Eagle was delivering papers in Normangee in Leon County. She observed two black males loading 4-wheelers onto a trailer at Normagee Tractor and notified the Leon County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responding spotted the Ford F250 at I-45 and OSR in Leon County and attempted to stop it. The vehicle sped up to just over 100 miles per hour which it continued through Leon County, Madison County, Walker County and into Montgomery County. Willis Police were able to set spikes ripping two left tires of the Ford pick up out but also getting a Leon County Patrol car. The truck exited at FM 830 just inside the Conroe city limits. As they got to the intersection both jumped out and fled across the freeway.into the woods. The first one was taken into custody almost immediately. The second male then tried to run back across the freeway and was captured. The 4-wheelers and stolen trailer were valued at close to $40,000. The two males were returned back to Leon County. Montgomery County, Leon County, Panorama, Conroe, Willis, Walker County, Madison County all assisted in the pursuit.
