On February 20th, 2016, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to an assault call in the 20000 block of Cottonglade Lane. Upon arrival deputies met with a 71 year old male complainant who reported that the defendant, Chantel Odoms, became upset and began breaking items inside of the residence. In addition the complainant reported that Chantel Odoms shoved him against a wall causing a cut to his forearm, as well as sustaining several cuts to his feet from broken glass as he tried to get away from her while the assault was taking place.
The 71 year old complainant was transported by EMS to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries and Odom’s was arrested and charged with Injury to the Elderly and booked into the Harris County Jail. Her bond was set at $5000 out of the 209th District. Court.
Constable Mark Herman said, “We will take a very special interest in ensuring the suspect in this case is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law”.
